hey - found your blog while looking for a candied pumpkin recipe. My niece has used up a whole pumpkin and seems to have gotten it right. We're making the cake this afternoon.
Great recipes thank you. http://affirmationart.blogspot.com
Que lindas fotos! You're in the best "eating" state in Mexico. My husband and I almost honeymooned in Oaxaca! I'm from Guerrero (one state up) and the cuisine is completely different. But Oaxaca really is special. I have such great memories. Can't wait to read more about your trip! The pics alone caused a pang in my heart missing my Mexico Lindo y Querido...
Mercedes-- I was thinking about your warm and sweet blog post about your mother and Christmas sugar cookies and "Mrs. Rombauer" the other day and I'll be blogging about it (in a way) on 5/1/10. Check it out if you have a free moment. Hugs- http://woollove-functional-fiberart.blogspot.com/
Wow, those photos are unbelievable-- I love the rich, smoky colors. Being a regular reader, it's interesting seeing your blog pulled in a different direction, geographically. -X
(1) dates, naturally sweet, they are considered the desert's candy; (2) the kitchen adventures of one now-Cairo-based American and her love of the Middle East
